Using Stats to Rate Baseball Managers
The baseball world uses statistics to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of players. Why not use them to do the same thing for team managers? Steve Wang, a Swarthmore College statistics professor, thinks he's figured out a way to do just that. He's crunched six years' worth of numbers in 23 categories - from how often they go their bullpens to the number of lineups they use in a season.
